tWhat internet marketing newbies ought to know...

From 9 to 6pm, we had established speakers like Stuart Tan, Kelvin Hui, Ewen Chia and Johan Mok sharing with us their experiences and trophies from their internet marketing ventures.

The introduction to internet marketing was well presented and not too steep.

Topics like SEO were very well presented and explained by Stuart Tan and it caters to both beginners and intermediates level of internet marketing very well.

Squeezed some time to post this from Kota Kinabalu (Malaysia)..

Yeah, I'm at Sutera Harbour Resort for a short working trip..

Hey, guess which place I check out when I got to my room?

Yeah, the bathroom...
Oh yeah they have pretty cool bath that opens out to the room..

Privacy = 2, Aesthetic =8

Heres a crude shot of the view into the bath..
The room looks great, but I cannot say the same for my colleague though..

First she found ants marching in her room's pantry area..
Then guess what?

What she thought was a small piece of rock on the carpet turns out to be....

A piece of S***!!.. Dried to a cake.. ohhhhgggg..

She realised it only when she attempt to pick it up with a tissue paper..

Now, is a good thing she had the mind of using a piece of paper to investigate..

I'll post more pictures when it's bright and sunny tomorrow..

Oh, suprisingly the haze that has enveloped Singapore for the past 3 days was absent here..

probably thanks to the light rain before we arrived..

Homemade Chestnut Rissoles

Chestnut Rissoles

Ingredients:
1 lb. chestnuts, 1 tablespoon chopped parsley, cornflour and water or 1egg.

Directions:
Boil the chestnuts for half an hour. Shell, and well mash with a fork.

Add the parsley. Dissolve 1 tablespoon cornflour in 1 tablespoon water. Use as much of this as required to moisten the chestnut, and mix it to a stiffpaste. Shape into firm, round, rather flat rissoles, roll in white flour,and fry in deep oil or fat to a golden brown colour. Serve with parsley ortomato sauce.

For those who take eggs, the rissoles may be moistened and bound with abeaten egg instead of the cornflour and water. They may also be rolled inegg and bread-crumbs after flouring.

Refreshing Fruit Salad

Ingredients:
Ready 4 sweet ripe oranges, 2apples, 2bananas and about 8 grapes.

Preparation:
Peel the oranges, quarter them, and remove skin and pips. Peel and core the apples and cut into thin slices. Wash and dry the grapes, and remove from stalks. Skin and slice the bananas.

Put the prepared fruit into a glass dish in alternate layers. Squeeze the juice from 2 sweet oranges and pour over the salad.

Any other fresh fruit in season may be used for this salad. Castor sugar may be sprinkled over if desired, and cream used in place of the juice.
Grated nuts are also a welcome addition.

Serving
Serve 4-6 person

Tasty Chinese Styled Tim Sum - Soup Pau and Goutie

Started as an invite to my sisters over to my place for casual dinner..

Some pizza, potato salad and vegetarian "oyster omelette" but ended up feasting at Din Tai Fung, a nice chinese restaurant at Junction 8 for 17 persons... famous for its soup pau and chinese gourmet. The menu items was a tad pricy though...

Enjoyed the fried rice, soup pau and mango pudding but felt that the branch at Tampines was better (which I've visited a week ago), same restaurant same menu but definately different chef expertise.. Din Tai Fung, has a few outlets, if given a choice go to the Tampines Branch..

But there is this guotie stall at Maxwell market.
The Japanese call it gyoza, meaning guotie, goutie or Potstickers cos they stick to the pots or pans sometimes..

I think I'll hit my target of 56 kg in a weeks time...(My goal is to gain weight..he he, and i see my self weighing 65kg end of year 2007.... )

Heavenly tasting Red Tea Jelly Desserts

I've tasted the best red tea jelly at this stall in Singapore..

Singapore Hougang Blk 105...

The red tea jelly slice was generous with little tiny jelly balls and icy dressing with light tasting milky taste.. the blend of red tea and milk tasted so wonderful slipping down my tongue and had such a clear unique refreshing taste..

Definately taste 10x better than those desserts served at Hotel and restaurant.. I'd highly recommend those pricy restaurant to change or add this Red Tea Jelly desserts to their menu..
